Chancel Choir
Laura Ballard, Director
The Chancel Choir sings weekly at the 11:00 a.m. worship service. Our diverse repertoire includes classical, traditional, hymns, spirituals, and newly composed sacred works. Each year the Chancel Choir also presents two special offerings of sacred choral music. We rehearse on Wednesday evenings from 7-8:30 p.m., and childcare is available during practices. No audition is necessary for the Chancel Choir, just a committe desire to serve and glorify God through music.
Joy Ringers
Janet Kuhlmann, Director
This adult Handbell Choir offers an opportunity to perform a very special and beautiful kind of music. Our choir consists of 5 octaves of hand bells and 3 octaves of hand chimes.
The choir practices every Wednesday during the school year from 5:45-7:00 p.m. The choir performs intermediate to advanced repertoire, and some note-reading is important. Membership is open to all adults, and new ringers are always welcome!
Vocal Ensembles
Laura Ballard, Director
Several times each year, there will be an opportunity to sing as a part of a select Vocal Ensemble. Members are selected from the Chancel Choir, and groups include women's and men's ensembles, mixed octets and quartets, and many other combinations of voices. These groups rehearse in four to six week periods during the year, times to be announced.
Instrumental Ensembles Laura Ballard, Director We are also blessed at FPC to have a variety of instrumentalists willing to share their gifts in worship. These special musicians are programmed into the church year to enhance our worship and to glorify God. If you have instrumental talents and are ready to serve, please give Laura a call!
