Congregational Retreat

Since 1991, at the end of February, the congregation of First Presbyterian Church Sumter has packed up, picked up, and journeyed two hours east for a weekend at the beach. The retreat is a time where our members can escape the normal pressures and distractions of life at home and become more focused on God’s intentions for us. It is a time that we can socialize with other members of our church - to work together, play together and eat together - to interact as a church family. It always offers the opportunity to meet and connect with people who aren’t in our Sunday school class and who didn’t sit along the same pew during worship. It is a wonderful weekend of relaxed fellowship and reflection. If you’ve never attended, please consider trying it next year. You won’t regret the decision.
