CHILDREN’S MUSIC MINISTRY

“Let the little children come to me, and do not stop them;
for it is to such as these that the kingdom of heaven belongs.”
Matt 19:13 & 14

The goals of the Children's Music Ministry are to provide an opportunity for children to experience Jesus Christ through music, to share that experience with the congregation through anthems, and to provide an occasion for children to actively participate in worship. At First Presbyterian, we have a graded choral program where our children are taught basic musical skills in an atmosphere of Christian love. Members of all groups participate in two evening musical offerings each year.

Our newest addition to the Children’s Music Ministry is the Angel Ringers who meet in 4-6 week sessions throughout the year to prepare for special musical offerings! Basic handbell technique and musical concepts are taught. This is where First Presbyterian’s handbell heritage begins!
