Mission
Trip to Costa Rica
"To know the will of God, we need an open Bible and an open map."
Go International! This is the perfect opportunity to practice our
church's mission statement: to know Christ and to make Him known. Join
us as we serve gladly in San Jose, Costa Rica, on June 9th-16th. This
trip is open to our college kids (including graduated seniors) and all
adults! Even better yet... the trip only costs $200 and an optional
"zip line" through the jungle is only $100 extra. Remember that you are
already equipped with the talents and tools that are needed. As Hudson
Taylor said, "God isn't looking for people of great faith, but for
individuals ready to follow Him." Come along! It will be the trip of a

SOUPerbowl of Caring
On Sunday, February 5th, before Super Bowl XLVI, our congregation will
join with thousands of other churches across our nation in the annual SOUPerbowl of Caring. Our youth
will be gathering non-perishable items and money to support United Ministries of Sumter County,
joining in one of the largest single weekends of local mission work for
the Christian community. Please bring your canned goods to serve the
hungry in our community!

Annual Valentine's Day Parents' Night Out
Planning a special night with your sweetheart? Looking for a
babysitter? Once again our youth will be hosting our annual babysitting
night on Friday, February 10th. We will be available from 5-10pm, for
the low price of $20 per child, with a $50 family cap. All proceeds
from this event will go to benefit FPC Youth Trips in 2012. Please

Congregational Beach
Retreat
Need a chance to get away? Want to spend some special time with God and
your family? Ever wonder what happens at the beach during the winter?
If you said yes to any of these questions, then Beach Retreat is for you! Once
again we will be traveling to Springmaid Beach Resort on
February 17th-19th to enjoy some fun, fellowship, and to take a special
opportunity to listen to our speaker Pastor Rob Morgan, the
author of the Red Sea Rules.
And there will be something special for God's children of all ages,
too!
